The St. Patrick's Day Parade is Back!

One of Northern Colorado’s most iconic traditions is finally returning to the streets of Fort Collins. On Saturday, March 14, 2026, NOCO Unify and High Country Beverage will bring the St. Patrick’s Day Parade to Old Town Fort Collins, reviving a celebration the community has deeply missed. 

The festivities begin at 10:00 AM with the parade, followed immediately by the Old Town Irish Celebration in Old Town Square. Hosted by Guinness and supported by High Country Beverage, the celebration runs until 4:00 PM and features live music, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a bar scavenger hunt with high-value prizes.

 

The Performing Arts: Theater, Film, Comedy and Live Shows

At The Lincoln Center this month, you'll find a full line-up (15 different events!) of wonderful performances, film and music! 

The music highlights include singer, songwriter, and actor Cheyenne Jackson on March 15th, pianist Emmet Cohen on March 28th, and Women of Americana on March 20th. Leading up to St. Patrick's Day, the popular and multi-award-winning quintet Goitse will bring their Irish music to stage on March 10th. 

In the theatre realm, The Cottage, a drama in the english countryside by OpenStage Theatre & Company plays from March 21 through mid April. 

Film and fishing enthusiasts need to circle March 28th on the calendar for The 20th Anniversary of the Fly Fishing Film Tour. Outdoors and wildlife fans should check out the National Geographic Live Speaker Series: Discovering the Galapagos on March 13th or the Vibrations from Nature and Tradition with the Fort Collins Symphony on March 7th.

The Lyric

The Lyric is a hub for creative arts and film in Northern Colorado. Recent movie buffs may want to attend the Oscar Watch Party on March 15th to mingle and discuss! On March 24th, check out the showing of "What The River Knows", a documentary exploring the reemergence of Glen Canyon from the receding waters of Lake Powell reservoir. At the end of the month, Nerd Nite Fort Collins is an interactive video game concert the you don't want to miss if you're a gamer! Bas Bleu Theatre

Widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies ever written, The Importance of Being Earnest is a high rising confection of razor sharp wit, sparkling social satire, and the most famous handbag in theatre history. This Oscar Wilde play will be playing at the Bas Bleu Theatre until March 15th. The Comedy Brewers will be fishing for laughs on March 8th. Near the end of the month, Soul Penny Circus is back with Galaxias, a theatrical circus journey through space!

Hosting regular open mic nights and nationally renowned comedians, The Comedy Fort is Fort Collins's only comedy club and home to events all month long that you can find here. Be sure to catch Lace Larrabee; Amir K, a regular at the Comedy Cellar!; Adam Gilbert as seen on Dont Tell Comedy, and more great comics! Specialty nights on the docket this month also include a NoCo Roast Battle! (March 5th) and The Gateway Show (March 25th).

 

Other Film Events

The Magic Rat Film Showcase continues on March 18th. Two Films. Two Stages of the Creative Journey. One Powerful Conversation. Join for a special Women in Film evening designed to pull back the curtain on the filmmaking process from fragile first draft to finished film. This unique program invites audiences into two stages of storytelling happening in the same room. 

Don't miss ACT Human Rights Film Festival's 11th annual Kickoff Party at Odell Brewing. At this festive event ACT will share film trailers, festival trivia, and offer some giveaways. Odell Brewing will tap ACT's signature festival beer, the 11th ACT Screening Session Ale. 

 

Live Music and Concert Series

Tunes at Washington's and The Armory

Washington’s is a historic 900-person venue in Old Town Fort Collins and regularly hosts big names. The Colorado Sound's 10th Birthday Base features Margo Price's Wild At Heart Tour on March 3rd. An Evening with Keller Williams on March 7th will be popular for any bluegrass fan. On their Shine Delight Tour, The California Honeydrops bring their smooth swagger on March 21st. Other shows include Neko Case, a DMB cover band, Eddie 9V, Nick Lowe, and Charlie Parr. 

The Armory is a more intimate 200-person capacity venue with state-of-the-art acoustics. Be sure to see award-winning guitarist, vocalist, and band leader Tommy Castro on March 8th. Formerly of The Fray, Isaac Slade and his SONGS I KNOW SOLO TOUR performs on March 14th. For local tunes, don't miss the Sonic Spotlight, a music showcase and competition, on March 24th.

Rock out at The Aggie

Aggie Theatre Concert

The historic Aggie Theatre, a live music institution in Fort Collins for over 100 years, plays host to several great shows this month. Check out their website for more information. Highlights include Colony House on their The 77 Tour, G.Love & Special Sauce on their Lemonade 20th Anniversary Tour, An Evening with Shadowgrass, and Grieves. 

 

FoCoMX Lineup Release Party

FoCoMX returns April 24 & 25th! Blind faith tickets are already on sale, but the Lineup Release Party on March 13th from 4-7 pm at Odell Brewing, will take the blindfold off in terms of who is playing! The FoCoMX iconic music festival features a lineup of 400+ Colorado bands from all genres on 35+ Downtown Fort Collins stages presented by Fort Collins Musicians Association. 

 

The Mishawaka 

The winter months don't stop the music-minded folks up the canyon at The Mish. The indoor stage is seeing some action with Deadphish Orchestra (March 6th), Graham Good & The Painters (March 7th), and The Sweet Lillies with Fancy Bits (March 20th). For their full schedule click here.

Sound Bar, winner of the 2025 FoCoMA Peer Awards' Best Venue, has emerged as a community hub for live music and nightlife in the heart of Fort Collins. The venue's March lineup showcases its commitment to diverse indie, rock, and alternative acts, making it a go-to spot for discovering emerging artists and underground sounds in Northern Colorado's vibrant music scene. Check out Bad Bad Hats, an indie rock band from Minneapolis, on March 14th!

Magic Rat, located in Old Firehouse Alley adjacent to The Elizabeth Hotel in Old Town, offers swinging sounds on tap weekly for free. 830 North combines bowling and music for an enhanced visit to the lanes. If you want to hear some classical music, the Fort Collins Symphony hosts a few smaller intimate and informative shows to showcase their many members. Avogadro's Number is another popular spot that routinely books local talent. Happy Lucky's Teahouse

The Fort Collins Foodie WalkTM happens the 3rd Friday of every month, which will be March 20th. The Foodie Walk gets you into businesses that provide food or food related products, like spices, cooking supplies, cheese, and olive oil! It's a great way to discover new recipes, products you can't live without, and new places to patronize. This free event runs from 5pm to 8pm and features interactive opportunities and seasonal flavors all in an exciting tasting experience!

Looking to bite off a little bit more to chew? Check out the Old Town Food Tour, which stops at 4-6 restaurants, an adult beverage add-on, a chance to meet chefs, and more! If you are looking to add attributes to your own cooking chops, then be sure to check out the cooking classes offered by Ginger & Baker and Farm Fusion

It's that time to get your brackets ready for....MATCHA MADNESS is back!  Every day from March 1st to March 31st, head to Happy Lucky's Teahouse to vote in the daily taste-off between two teas. The winning tea will advance to the next round, ending with the 2026 Grand Champion TEA being crowned on March 31st. Everyone is encouraged to vote daily - no purchase necessary.

Morning Fresh Dairy's Spring-Fling farm tours are back! Led by their friendly and knowledgeable guides, the tour will take you on a colorful journey around the family-owned and operated dairy farm with spring fun along the way!

Art Walk

Put your walking shoes on and head out on the Downtown Fort Collins First Friday Art WalkTM on March 6th! The First Friday Art Walk is a free monthly, self-guided tour that celebrates creativity, culture, and community in Downtown Fort Collins. With 30 participating businesses all over the downtown area, art walk showcases a spectrum of artistic styles to entertain and engage amateurs and art aficionados of all ages, interests and backgrounds. This month, there will be the ice carving at Old Town Square along with an art activation at the VFC Welcome Center!

CSU Libraries presents On the Walls at CSU: Posters from the 1970s, a companion exhibition highlighting the visual culture, student activism, and creative energy that shaped Colorado State University during a pivotal decade. Additionally, the CSU Libraries has a Saving the Past for the Future: 50 Years of Archives at CSU, a commemorative exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the University Archives.

The Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising has three exhibitions coming to a close, including Anchors Aweigh: Sailors' Fashion and American Women's Fashion, Thanks! It has Pockets, and The Fashion Bug: Insects In and On our Cloth until March 14th. 

The Museum of Art Fort Collins will host three new exhibitions through March 15th. The museum will feature Installation Nation in the main gallery and Lynnette Jung-Springberg Gallery. Installation Nation features the work of five regional artists: Nicole Banowetz (Denver, CO), Ashley Hope Carlisle (Laramie, WY), Chelsea Gilmore (Fort Collins, CO), Katelynn Mai-Fusco (Greeley, CO), Abbie Powers (Loveland, CO).

On March 7th, head to the Cornerstone Gallery at The Masonic for a special Opening Reception & Artist Talk, which celebrates Michael Safran's "Possibilities" exhibit.

 

Sports, Outdoors & Wellness

Tour de Pi(e)

Leave it to Fort Collins to turn a wonky math holiday into an excuse to bike! Join Bike Fort Collins on March 14th for a delicious ride through Fort Collins. The 10-ish mile journey will have tasty stops at top pie and pizza spots, including Retreat Bakery Bar, Butter Milk Bakery & Pie Shop, and Totally 80's Pizza.

Colorado State University 

The last chance to see the CSU men's basketball team is March 7th at Moby Arena against Boise State for Senior Night.

Meanwhile, spring sports of softball and women's tennis are underway! The softball team hosts three teams for the Rams Invitational in the first weekend of the month and then a seven-game home stand at the end of the month. The Ram tennis squad has home matches on March 13th, 15th, 27th, and 29th. 

Other

The Fort Collins St. Patrick’s Day 5K is equal parts road race and rolling block party—a point-to-point, slightly downhill 5K run/walk that starts in the heart of downtown Fort Collins and finishes where the real celebration begins: Odell Brewing Company.

Another festive 5K is the fourth annual International 5K Color Run is set for Saturday, March 28th. The annual fun run/walk is held in partnership with CSU’s Indian Students Association to coincide with the annual Hindu celebration of Holi, which honors Colors, Love, and Spring!
