Don't miss some of our larger public art pieces — our murals. These murals are the result of efforts by several organizations: Fort Collins Mural Project, Art in Public Places, the Downtown Development Authority, and independent artists. Between them all, there are over 100 murals in our community!
Fort Collins Gateway Mural
One of the most recognizable murals in town is the Fort Collins Gateway Mural, located in Downtown Fort Collins and completed in 2024 by the Fort Collins Mural Project. It serves as a testament to the heart and soul of the city, showcasing its landmarks, history, and lifestyle in a postcard style. Even the creation of the mural was a feat of collaboration — each letter in 'Fort Collins,' was completed by a different artist with a different theme — all tying back to the region.
