The Cutest Costume Contest

One of the most anticipated events of Tour de Corgi is the costume contest—a crowd favorite that’s equal parts adorable and impressive! Corgis and their biped companions take to the “catwalk” in front of the Larimer County Justice Center, dressed in creative, hilarious, and jaw-dropping costumes. They're all competing for fun prizes, bragging rights, and the sheer joy of showing off some truly incredible outfits and contraptions. The contest includes fan-favorite categories that return every year, plus special categories that tie into the annual theme. Individuals and groups are encouraged to participate—everyone’s welcome!
🎸 This year’s theme is “Rock On!”

We’re expecting to see everything from rock legends to air-guitar-wielding corgis. Think Ozzy Osbourne (RIP), Queen, KISS, or even a full corgi-sized rock band! Whether you’re entering or just cheering from the sidelines, this is a Tour de Corgi moment you won’t want to miss.
2025 Categories are:
- “Completely Creative”
- “Purdiest”
- “Baddest to the Bone”
- “Funniest Furry”
- “Greatest group”
- “Best Rocker”
- “Best Rock Band”
This year's Costume Contest judges are:
- Dude Dad and his daughter Juno
- Dr. Kelly Hall from the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital
- Ben Hatcher, "Rock On" and Pianos About Town artist
The Tour de Corgi Parade Returns—Same Route, Same Fun!

This year’s Tour de Corgi parade will follow the same beloved route as last year, bringing all the charm and cheer corgi fans have come to expect. Parade-goers can look forward to highlights like passing by Wagz Boutique—one of the event’s major sponsors—and stopping at the Pianos About Town tent near the corner of Mountain Avenue and Tula, where a corgi-themed piano will be live-painted during the festivities.Spectators are welcome to line the parade route, gather in Old Town Square, or enjoy the view from Civic Center Park—there’s no bad seat for this tail-wagging celebration!
Pianos About Town and This Year's Theme Artist

Ben Hatcher has been involved in art-making, working in museums, and teaching art since he was a teenager. His beloved corgi Sprinkles inspired him with a submission to this year's Pianos About Town entry (Sprinkles also modeled for the design).
Ben will be painting his Piano About Town in the blue tent at the south end of Old Town Square on Mountain Avenue during and after the parade. He is open for photo ops, questions, and general craziness.

No registration is required to attend and enjoy Tour de Corgi! The public is warmly invited to explore Civic Center Park, visit dog-related vendor booths, and soak up the corgi cuteness.
However, if you’d like to participate in the parade or costume contest, all adult participants will need a wristband. You can purchase a wristband online, at the event, or at the Pre-Registration event at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center on Friday, Oct. 3 from 5:30-7:30 pm. While it's largely based on the honor system, we do encourage wristband purchases to help support the event and the charities.
Wristbands, a limited number of stickers, and short-sleeved unisex T-shirts will be available on the day of the event—but supplies are limited! To guarantee your preferred style, size, and color, and to avoid long lines, we recommend ordering in advance.
