Resolution Run 5K
Run out the old and ring in the new at one of FoCo’s oldest races. The Resolution Run, owned by the Fort Collins Running Club, is back for its 42nd year with family-friendly fun starting and finishing at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC). With a nod to New Year’s, the race is held after sunset, so dress warmly. Glow sticks are provided, and runners are encouraged to don their brightest racing attire. Kids, strollers, dogs, and walkers are welcome; under 20:26 finishers earn a special prize. An indoor, heated space is accessible pre- and post-race. The race starts at 6 p.m.; register now.
Stroll Among the Downtown Lights
Downtown Fort Collins is the place to be for twinkling lights and plenty of holiday spirit. Every night through Valentine's Day (including NYE), the lights will be turned on in Old Town Fort Collins. Twenty-two blocks of downtown are illuminated with thousands of strands of lights in alleyways, along sidewalks, and among treetops. The impressive display of low-energy and sustainable LED lights can be enjoyed anywhere along College Avenue, the northern boundary of Laporte Avenue, and continuing south to Magnolia Street. Trees are lit along Walnut Street, Linden Street, Pine Street, Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza, and Mountain Avenue as well.
Drive through the Lights
Pack the family into your car -- Colorado Youth Outdoors' annual drive thru light show is a must for families of all ages! NoCo Winter Wonderland is open Thursday-Sunday evenings from Thanksgiving to December 17, and every night through New Year's Eve. Enjoy the spirit of the holidays without leaving the comfort of your car. $25 per vehicle.
Snow Dome: A Holiday Music Experience
Catch a musical medley of holiday merriment in the Otterbox Digital Dome Theater at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery this month! Starting November 28th through December 31st, FCMoD will present Snow Dome: A Holiday Music Experience at 2:45PM on weekdays and 3:30pm on weekends. Snow Dome features all your favorite wintry songs from Mariah Carey to The Beach Boys (and many more) set to mesmerizing visuals and amazing 360-degree surround-sound audio.

If you are chasing similar vibes, Ace Gillett's might be in your rotation. This basement speakeasy-esque establishment is below The Armstrong Hotel. Enjoy live music from 5-8pm, then their resident DJ will be spinning the evening from 8:00pm on with fun, upbeat, dance, familiar tunes.
