Ice Carving at Old Town Square

The Fourth Annual Live Ice Carving Returns to Old Town Square! Bundle up for something extraordinary! Our teams at the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Visit Fort Collins are thrilled to present a Live Ice Carving Sculpture - and this year, we're going bigger than ever with an enchanting two-night experience you won't want to miss.
Mark your calendars for Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7, as Old Town Square transforms into an open-air gallery of frozen artistry. Starting around 4 pm each evening, master ice sculptor Thomas Barlow of Struckman Sculpture Ice will carve a magnificent ice castle that will grow and evolve before your eyes. Watch as the massive blocks of ice begin on Friday night to become a captivating, larger-than-life frozen masterpiece by Saturday evening. For more information, check out the blog here.
Love is in the Air with Valentine's Activities
To start, the annual Valentine's Market by Handmade Market NoCo will be at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center on Saturday, Feb. 7th from 11 am - 4 pm. However, the biggest market may be the Foothills - Winter Farmers Market: Valentine's Market edition on Saturday, Feb. 14th.
The OBC Wine Project is hosting a Susanna's Secret: Valentine's Day at the Winery all Valentine's weekend. Wanting to get out on the dance floor? Look no further than NoCo Swing Dance's Swing Your Valentine on Friday, Feb. 13th at Club Tico. Riverside Colorado, up the Poudre Canyon, is hosting a Love on Ice polar plunge that also includes a sauna and yoga experience on Feb. 14th. If you didn't get enough enjoyment out of Valentine's Day then maybe The Comedy Fort's Love Bites: The Dating Profile Roast Show is just what your soul needs on Feb. 26th.

Last Chance for Holiday Lights!

The Downtown Fort Collins twinkling lights are set to come down on February 14th. Be sure to get out for your last chance to enjoy twenty-two illuminated blocks with thousands of strands of lights in alleyways, along sidewalks, and among tree-tops. The impressive display of low-energy and sustainable LED lights can be enjoyed anywhere along College Avenue, the northern boundary of Laporte Avenue, and continuing south to Magnolia Street. Trees are lit along Walnut Street, Linden Street, Pine Street, Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza, and Mountain Avenue as well.
B.Y.OB at Walrus Ice Cream
It's back! And expanded to two days! Walrus Ice Cream, a locally owned ice cream shop that's been scooping since 1987, has partnered with OtterBox to host a Bring Your Own OtterBox event. On February 14th and 15th, bring any OtterBox tumbler to Walrus Ice Cream and get 4 scoops for $10! Don't miss out on hanging out with Ollie the Otter and Wally the Walrus who will be palling around on the street between 2pm and 5pm. Winter Brew Fest!
The Fort Collins Brewery Alliance Presents the Fort Collins Winter Brewfest at The Drake Centre on February 28, 2026 at 2-6 pm for a day filled with craft beers and great company. Get ready to sample a wide variety of brews from 17 Fort Collins based breweries while enjoying food from local food trucks and music from KRFC. General Admission tickets are $45 and include: Your commemorative Fort Collins Winter Brewfest tasting glass and unlimited 5oz tasters from 17 different Fort Collins Breweries. All proceeds from this event will go to The Fort Collins Brewery Alliance to help promote local beer and create events citywide!
Lost in the Woods [Shipwrecked] 2026
Join us at New Belgium Brewing Company for their annual celebration of the sour beer. The theme this year is Shipwrecked, so "Batten down the hatches, crew, a ragin' storm is brewing." Get your tickets, and save the date for this can't miss event. The event is held Saturday, February 7th from 7 pm to 11 pm in Davy Jones Locker.
Pandamonium! 2026
Sad Panda fans of Horse & Dragon Brewing, unite! Pandamonium! is a craft beer mini-festival celebrating Sad Panda Coffee Stout and its fans. This year each session will feature 11 variations of flavors on a Sad Panda theme (plus, of course, the O.G.). 2025's fan favorite, Sour Cherry Panda, will be making a return as one of the variations. There will be two sessions (11am-2:30 pm & 3:30-7 pm) on Saturday Feb. 21st and Sunday Feb. 22nd.
Performing Arts: Theater, Film, Comedy and Live Shows
The Lincoln Center
At The Lincoln Center this month, you'll find a full line-up of wonderful performances and live events! The murder mystery play, The Mouse Trap, has one more weekend, Feb. 6-8th. High Performance Dance Theatre’s (HPDT) is celebrating 30 Years of Dance in Northern Colorado with two nights (Feb. 13-14th). Fishing fanatics need to reel-in tickets for Feb. 18th's International Fly Fishing Film Festival. To close the month, THE PROM, Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, expertly captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever. The Lyric
The Lyric has a wide variety of events this month. From a Bluestocking Burlesque Valentine's Show to Fat Friday and a Comedy Show, you're sure to find a fun way to spend an evening (or multiple!). For a full list of community events, head to The Lyric's website.
The Comedy Fort

Hosting regular open mic nights and nationally renowned comedians, The Comedy Fort is Fort Collins's only comedy club and home to events all month long that you can find here. Be sure to catch Orlando Leyba, Caleb Synan, Hannah Jones, Chloe Radcliffe, and Sean Patton. Specialty nights on the docket this month also include a Fort Improve Showcase and The Foco Sketch Kaboom, which is an evening of comedic skits and musical moments!
Bas Bleu Theatre
Widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies ever written, The Importance of Being Earnest is a high rising confection of razor sharp wit, sparkling social satire, and the most famous handbag in theatre history. This Oscar Wilde play will be playing at the Bas Bleu Theatre from Feb. 20th to March 15th.
Live Music and Concert Series
Tunes at Washington's and The Armory
Washington’s is a historic 900-person venue in Old Town Fort Collins and regularly hosts big names. The Say She She: Cut & Rewind Tour comes into town on Feb. 10th. The Dark Star Orchestra, The 502s, and Hayes Carll have dates set for the middle of the month. If you are a fan of the Allman Brothers then maybe Devon Allman's Blues Summit on Feb. 24th will have similar tunes to tab your toes to!
The Armory is a more intimate 200-person capacity venue with state-of-the-art acoustics. Be sure to see the GRAMMY-nominated string band, Della Mae, on Feb. 6th. Fort Collins’ own Michael Kirkpatrick returns to The Armory for a special hometown performance on Feb. 13th. An Evening with with Brett Dennen on Feb. 25th closes out shows at the Armory for February.

Rock out at The Aggie
The historic Aggie Theatre, a live music institution in Fort Collins for over 100 years, plays host to several great shows this month. Check out their website for more information. Highlights include: The Ocean Blue on their Frigid Winter Days Tour; Jerro, a DJ from Belgium; The Record Company on their Give it Back to Your 10th Anniversary Tour; EAZYBAKED, an emerging bass music; Penelope Road, an indie band from Atlanta; and The Devil Makes Three on their Winter Tour 2026.
FoCoMX Tickets go on Sale!
FoCoMX returns April 24 & 25th! Keep your eye out for tickets going on sale soon! This iconic music festival features a lineup of 400+ Colorado bands from all genres on 35+ Downtown Fort Collins stages presented by Fort Collins Musicians Association.
The Mishawaka
The winter months don't stop the music-minded folks up the canyon at The Mish. They have been spreading their music into different series around town. The Winter Concert Series occurs at The OBC Wine Project twice a month with Feburary featuring Luke Hahn-Zollo & Michael Kirkpatrick (Feb. 11th) and Bonnie & Taylor Sims (Feb. 25th). A partnership with Avogadro's Number brings An Evening with Tumbledown Shack on Feb. 28th. Lastly, the FoCo Unexpected series continues at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center with a show on January 19th, featuring Veronica May.
Other Ways to Tune In
Sound Bar has emerged as a community hub for live music and nightlife in the heart of Fort Collins. The venue's February lineup showcases its commitment to diverse indie, rock, and alternative acts, making it a go-to spot for discovering emerging artists and underground sounds in Northern Colorado's vibrant music scene.
Magic Rat, located in Old Firehouse Alley adjacent to The Elizabeth Hotel in Old Town, offers swinging sounds on tap weekly for free. 830 North combines bowling and music for an enhanced visit to the lanes. If you want to hear some classical music, the Fort Collins Symphony is hosting two events including a Black History themed community night on Feb. 27th. Avogadro's Number is another popular spot that routinely books local talent. With a combination of free and paid shows, you're sure to find something you like! Remember to check out our 20+ breweries as they also host smaller live shows!
Art
Put your walking shoes on and head out on the Downtown Fort Collins First Friday Art WalkTM on January 6th! The First Friday Art Walk is a free monthly, self-guided tour that celebrates creativity, culture, and community in Downtown Fort Collins. With 30 participating businesses all over the downtown area, art walk showcases a spectrum of artistic styles to entertain and engage amateurs and art aficionados of all ages, interests and backgrounds. This month, there will be the ice carving at Old Town Square along with an art activation at the VFC Welcome Center!
Visualize is the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art's annual fundraising celebration on Feb. 7th. It is an immersive evening of art and connection in support of GAMA, the region's premiere collecting and teaching museum.
On Feb. 10th, the Global Village Museum of Arts & Cultures is hosting a Tanzania Together: Water, Well-Being & Village Perspectives event in which is a fun, engaging, and eye-opening cultural presentation for the whole family. Join Georgia Evans, founder of Village Care Project, as she shares stories, photos, and experiences from working alongside communities in remote villages in Tanzania.
The Foothills Mall along with several local organizations have organized a Black History Month painting workshop on Feb. 14th and Feb. 21st.
On February 28th, head to the Cornerstone Gallery at The Masonic for a special Closing Reception & Artist Talk, which celebrates the work by Nicolas Dürr featured in their current solo exhibition, "Sight Songs."
The Museum of Art has three new exhibitions as of the end of January that will go until mid-March.

The Fort Collins Foodie WalkTM happens the 3rd Friday of every month, which will be Feb. 20th. The Foodie Walk gets you into businesses that provide food or food related products, like spices, cooking supplies, cheese, and olive oil! It's a great way to discover new recipes, products you can't live without, and new places to patronize. This free event runs from 5pm to 8pm and features interactive opportunities and seasonal flavors all in an exciting tasting experience!
Looking to bite off a little bit more to chew? Check out the Old Town Food Tour, which stops at 4-6 restaurants, an adult beverage add-on, a chance to meet chefs, and more!
The Farm to Fork event is Poudre School District's FFA annual fundraiser on Feb. 20th. There is a dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction where money raised goes toward funding leadership conferences and career training for members.

Sports, Outdoors & Wellness

Colorado State University
Basketball fans need to have Saturday, Feb. 7th on their calendar for a Rams basketball doubleheader. The women's team plays Wyoming at 2 p.m. with a special ticket prize of $1 in hopes of selling out Moby Arena! The men play San Jose State at 7 pm.
Other chances to see the men play is Feb. 14th (vs. Wyoming), Feb. 21st (Vs. San Diego State), Feb. 24th (Vs. Fresno State).
Other chances to see the women play is Feb. 18th (Vs. Nevada), Feb. 25th (Vs. UNLV), Feb. 28th (Vs. Air Force).
Meanwhile, spring sports are gearing up! The softball team hosts the Colorado Classic at the end of the month, welcoming Northern Colorado, and Creighton for a round robin tournament.

Did you know that Bird watching is big in Fort Collins?! In 2022, the City of Fort Collins was designated a Colorado Bird City “High Flyer” status by Environment for the Americas for the commitment done by the City of Fort Collins and the Fort Collins Natural Areas in bird conservation across many categories. Well on Feb. 28th, there is a way to support and learn about birds in Northern Colorado. The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program (RMRP) has its 33rd Annual Gala on Sat., at 5 p.m. The event will be held at the Grand Ballroom at the Lory Student Center at CSU.
