Synthesizer Saturdays featuring Lisa Bella Donna

    • Join the Music District and Fort Collins Synthesizer Enthusiasts for a special Synthesizer Saturdays performance and workshop by electric alchemist Lisa Bella Donna. This presentation is scheduled to coincide with Delia Derbyshire Day and pays homage to sonic explorations and compositional creativity in electronic music.

      About Lisa Bella Donna: Lisa Bella Donna is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, synthesist, consultant, and clinician. She has traveled all throughout Europe, Japan, and USA for decades as a session musician and clinician, developing extensive techniques with modular synthesis, orchestration & film composition as a recording artist. She’s been commissioned for many multichannel audio art installations in the USA and Europe.

      About Delia Derbyshire Day: Delia Derbyshire Day (DD Day) is a Manchester-based developing organisation honouring the work of electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire (1937-2001). DD Day produces original arts heritage events, commissions new art and offers electronic music education centred around the Delia Derbyshire Archive which is held at John Rylands Library in Manchester, UK. Delia’s most famous work is her iconic realisation of the original Dr Who theme in 1963 and she also produced a wide variety of electronic music and sound design for TV, radio, film and theatre and was a key figure in the development of electronic music in Britain.
