Silver Linings: Kim, Reinecke, Mozart, and Ravel

    • Assistant Conductor Inho Kim of the Changwon Philharmonic (South Korea) returns to the FCS. With him he brings Nan-Jang, a new work by composer Jiman Kim, and the principal flutist Dongwook Kim for a collaborative performance of Carl Reinecke’s sparkling Flute Concerto in D Major. At the height of his compositional powers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote Symphony No. 36, “Linz” during a brief stopover in this Austrian town. Maurice Ravel’s memorial tribute to fallen friends from the Great War, Le Tombeau de Couperin, will complete the evening.
