Riverside Lantern Talks, Sundays - 5-6:00 pm

    • June Riverside Lantern Talks - The Deadly Dyad: Disease in the Mid-Nineteenth Century

With respect to organic lifeforms, small can be harmful, but microscopic can be lethal. Microbes have devastated mammalian life on Earth as long as our existence. Although not associated with etiology (cause) of disease in the mid-nineteenth century, they nonetheless were responsible for two of the most deadly scourges that raced through America during that time - cholera and consumption.

In June, Traces of the Past will kick-off its 2021 "Riverside Lantern Talks" series by focusing on these powerful, unseen killers in the nineteenth century.
