Mindfulness in action workshop for wildland firefighters and leaders
As fire seasons intensify, chronic stress can take a toll on firefighters and support personnel. This workshop is designed to provide training in mindfulness techniques and other research-based tools for reducing stress, increasing well being, and increasing the use of healthy coping techniques in the face of repeated stress and trauma.
In this 3-day workshop, participants will learn from experienced first responders who are also mindfulness trainers. In addition to mindfulness training sessions, participants will have opportunities to explore, hike, train in yoga, and network with peers.
