Re-Making the Mark by Zora J Murf: Exhibit

    • Re-Making the Mark will be on view from May 31st-September 6th at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art (1400 Remington Street, Fort Collins, CO). An artist talk will be held on Friday, September 6th at 5pm at Organ Recital Hall at the University Center for the Arts on CSUs campus (1400 Remington Street) with a reception to follow. Re-Making the Mark is presented in partnership with the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art, and the Center for Fine Art Photography.

The exhibition uses historic photographs coupled with images of Murff’s documentation of the fallout from redlining in a historically black neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska. Murff explains: “Re-Making the Mark prompts inquiry into how racial violence has been recorded through images, and how these same images can be used to interrupt collective belief.”

      Admission is always free!
