Mandala Monday: Dragonfly

Dragonflies “have a beautiful, jewel-like coloring. The bright colors take time to develop, reflecting the idea that with maturity our own true colors come forth.” (Ted Andrews, Animal Speak.) In many parts of the world, dragonflies stand for transformation, new beginnings, change, and hope. In this class we will draw and place dragonflies into a mandala, another powerful symbol representing wholeness, unity, and perfection.

Drawing mandalas can be a relaxing and meditative practice, a practice for all levels. Even if you’ve never drawn mandalas before, if you are intrigued by the concept – and the symbolism – come learn more. Step-by-step instructions will guide you to draw and color your own dragonfly mandala. All supplies will be furnished.
