- Are your favorite jeans ripped? Do you have holes in your socks? Want to get creative with visible mending, learn how to sew on a button, or just need a large layout space for a sewing project? We’ll help! Drop in to the monthly ‘Make & Mend’ with your clothes, sewing, knitting and more to create alongside the Avenir community of makers! We will have tools and tips on mending, upcycling, and making clothes that last. All textile project types are welcome – we want to do our part to reduce textile waste by mending and reusing, rather than always replacing clothes, and we’re here to cheer you on (please do note that ‘Make & Mend’ sessions are not an alterations service!).
