Frezi's Birthday Food and Beer Pairing with Z Catering

    • Join us as we celebrate the birth of our favorite gal, Frezi Bouckaert. Frezi has done it all—financial planner, cop, bartender, mother, wife and brewery owner—so let’s celebrate with delicious eats by Z Catering paired with inspired craft beer.

      1st course: An assortment of gourmet stuffed brie including white nectarine and bacon, caramelized onion and mushrooms, blueberry and lavender, crisp toasted malt and Sirop de Liège & Pear, all baked to creamy perfection. Served with crostini, crisps and vegetables paired with Barrel of Fun (Barrel-aged Familie Klepkes)

      2nd course: De-Constructed Asian Salad. Includes Purpose beer-washed fresh mandarin oranges, thinly sliced purple and Napa Cabbage, romaine lettuce, Daikon radish, radicchio, heirloom bell pepper, sliced green onion, sesame seeds and crispy rice noodles placed into a phyllo bowl and drizzled with Purpose Beer Balsamic dressing. Also served with fresh-baked beer bread. Paired with Tomàquet (a beer that pays homage to the Catalonian Spanish tomato bread, Pa amb Tomàquet.

      3rd course: Sous-Vide Cedar Torched Salmon. Alaskan Salmon touched with olive oil, sea salt and cracked pepper and dill, smoked on-site and torch finished on cedar planks and fire roasted vegetables paired with Frezia, an apricot honey beer.

      4th course: Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream. Peaches and crème sorbet prepared live with liquid nitrogen using Smoeltrekker #009 infused Palisade peaches. Served with Speculoos cookie and macerated Purpose Beer Cherries and paired with The Snifter, a malty, porter-like uncarbonated beer.
