- For the 22nd year Fort Collins Reads, a non-profit, is bringing an author to the city for an all community read. Brendan Slocumb, author of "The Violin Conspiracy," will give a presentation at the Fort Collins Marriott where there is plenty of free parking on Sunday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. His book is a mystery loosely based on events in his life as a classical violinist/teacher.
