2019 Organ Week Feature Concert: The Canadian Brass

    • The seventh annual Organ Week, a summer organ festival presented by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Colorado State University, takes place June 17—20 with concerts and special events held at the University Center for the Arts, First United Methodist Church, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Fort Collins. The 2019 edition features the Canadian Brass and world-renowned organists performing major solo and collaborative works. As an added bonus, a series of free public lectures and masterclasses is also being offered.

Tickets for the nightly concerts range from free to $19 and are available at the University Center for the Arts ticket office in the UCA lobby 60 minutes prior to performances or online at CSUArtsTickets.com. All tickets are subject to a $1 ticket fee for both online and at-the-door purchases. Due to event popularity and to avoid at-the-door fees, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.

Complete details are available online at music.colostate.edu.

A concert of great works for organ and brass along with pieces from The Canadian Brass repertoire.

Hailed as the “Kings of Brass,” this quintet has performed in virtually every major concert hall in the world. Displaying a full stylistic range from Baroque to Dixieland to contemporary compositions, their virtuosity is served up with trademark audience-engaging light-hearted banter. “These are the men who put brass music on the map with their unbeatable blend of virtuosity, spontaneity and humor.” —The Washington Post
