Nestled just 30 minutes from Fort Collins up the Poudre Canyon is Riverside Colorado, a secluded, year-round retreat. This newest lodging option in the Fort Collins area, boasts tiny homes, cabins and glamping tents, and is located right along the Poudre River. You'll also find a coffee cart, fire pits, pizza ovens, yard games, and a market on site, making it the perfect canyon one-stop shop. Furthermore, shuttles run between Riverside and the Mishawaka, a historic music venue located just under four miles away, and popular trailheads in the area.

We spoke with Dani Grant, owner of Riverside Colorado, to learn more about this new lodging option.

What do you love about Fort Collins

This wonderful city has been a great place to raise my daughters. The schools, the beautiful atmosphere and the outdoor lifestyle have been amazing. I also appreciate what Old Town Fort Collins has to offer, including great bars and restaurants and a lot of entertainment options.

What makes Riverside Colorado unique?

We offer a luxurious experience in a very natural environment with our cabins, tiny homes and glamping tents. We are a resort in the middle of a natural forest with a wild and scenic river rushing past us. You can enjoy fresh espresso drinks and homemade baked goods while watching an eagle soar over the site.

What is the story behind how Riverside Colorado got its start?

The previous owners of this campground were wonderful hosts for over 20 years in the canyon. When they expressed a desire to retire, we saw an opportunity to elevate the level of hospitality by adding gourmet fresh food and an adorable gift shop for summer recreational visitors. Riverside is designed to be a place I would want to spend time with my family, girlfriends, or for a romantic getaway. It offers an appealing disconnect from the day-to-day rush of our lives. As a sister business to the booming Mishawaka, we knew this location would be highly coveted.

What do you want visitors to experience at Riverside Colorado?

I want our visitors to experience peaceful and tranquil relaxation in a natural setting. I want them to have the comforts they want and still be in a wild area with so many fun outdoor activities to take advantage of.
