Awkward Family Six-Foot Photos with Santa at Museum of Art (MoA) Fort Collins

Bring your family to the north steps of the museum on Oak St Plaza for an Awkward Family Photo with a masked, socially distanced Santa on Saturday Dec. 5 and 12 from noon to 5 p.m.! Your photo is free if you join or renew your MoA Family Membership; or its $10 for members (plus you get a free art kit) or $20 for the general public. 


Downtown Holiday Lights

As it always has, Historic Old Town Fort Collins will light up with thousands of strands of holiday lights that illuminate the streets throughout all of beautiful downtown. The stunning display of low energy/sustainable LED lights spans seven blocks, lighting Old Town’s trees, European-inspired alleyways and beautiful storefronts. You can experience the downtown lights every night through February 2021. 

Gardens on Spring Creek

One of Northern Colorado’s best holiday traditions includes the twinkling lights at the Garden of Lights at the Gardens on Spring Creek. Stroll through a whimsical, twinkling winter wonderland illuminated by hundreds of thousands of LED lights at the Gardens on Spring Creek.

With our recent expansion, Garden of Lights is bigger and more magical than ever before.  The 2020 event will feature an expanded number of nights, more light sculptures and music playing throughout the grounds.

These lights can be seen all the way through Dec 30, 2020. The lights can be seen every evening from 4:15 to 9 p.m. during that time period, except on Christmas Eve. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids age 5-11 (for members) or $10 for adults and $5 for kids (age 5-11) for general admission. All tickets must be purchased in advance online and the number of people is limited to 100 guests per hour to allow for social distancing. 


Old Town Skating Rink

Shop, Skate & Discover Downtown this winter holiday season in Old Town Square! The newest addition to the square is a beautiful, family-friendly skating rink boasting free admission and free skate rentals. The rink opens Dec. 4 (4 to 7 p.m.) for a full schedule and details, visit this link. 


The Pond at Foothills Mall

The Pond will again be open for ice skating on the East Lawn at the Foothills Mall. Bring your skates (or rent a pair at The Skate Shack) and hit the ice on Northern Colorado’s Largest outdoor rink.  There will be hand sanitizer available and limited capacity on the rink this year.  Masks must be worn at all times while skating.  If The Pond is full, don’t fret!  Sign up to receive a text notification when the rink is ready for more skaters!  Adults are $7 and kids are $4. Sheldon Lake at City Park

You and the family can enjoy natural ice-skating at City Park. Sheldon Lake at City Park designates a safe skating area for those who are looking to enjoy a skate on the lake.


The Edora Pool and Ice Center, or EPIC, offer public skating hours. Reservations are required. Visit this link to learn more.
