2014 National Tourism Week Luncheon- Wednesday, May 21, 2014

The first full week of May is annually recognized as National Tourism Week, a tradition first celebrated in 1984. Events are presented in cities, states and travel businesses nationwide to champion the power of travel.

Locally, Visit Fort Collins will host a luncheon to celebrate the importance fo tourism to our community, region, state and nation. The luncheon will be held May 21st, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Hilton Fort Collins. Register Now to reserve your seats.

The Bicycle Ambassador Program offers one-hour bicycle safety education presentations for kids, families, businesses and senior groups. The presentation covers what to ride, wear and carry; rules of the road and trails; and why people should ride more.

Fort Collins Tours will now provide a new Covered Wagon Historical Tour that will be offered Sunday afternoons starting April 6th and going through the summer season. 
 
Climb aboard the covered wagon and take a trip back in time as our guides regale you with tales of Fort Collins past. Hear the stories behind many of the homes, mansions, businesses and streets as we meander through Old Town and surrounding area. Learn about local scoundrels and scalawags, cowboys and bootleggers, as well as the founding fathers and mothers that built the town. Tickets can be purchased at: www.fortcollinstours.com
